Winnie was elected to the fellowship in 2003 - the highest designation conferred by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario in recognition of members’ outstanding career achievements and leadership contributions to the community and the profession.

Winnie is devoted to her business as well as the community she serves. She serves on the board of York District Chartered Accountants Association, the Canadian Chinese Chartered Accountants Association, Scarborough-York Region Chinese Business Association, and a number of non-profit and charitable organizations. She speaks at the Canadian Chinese Broadcasting Corporation on tax related topics, and is a frequent contributor to newspapers and magazines.
